The Sweetwater River lace weight shawl is worked from the bottom up, then shaped into a crescent using short rows for the stockinette body. The lace edge is equally lovely with or without beads.

I used 24K gold plated Miyuki Delicas in homage to the beautiful Sweetwater River in Wyoming, one of the few documented places where you can still pan for gold!

If you choose a kit with beads you will receive 12+ grams of Miyuki Delica 24K gold plated size 8/0 beads.  Just enough for the Sweetwater River Shawl.

El Dorado is a worsted spun, lace weight yarn made from a luxurious blend of Peruvian baby alpaca and the finest mulberry silk.  Baby alpaca’s softness and warmth is unparalleled.   Alpaca wool does have very different properties than lambswool and finished garments should be cared for bysteaming and shaping. Alpaca wool is lanolin and allergen free.
